We provide the best solar solutions for your home.
In a historic milestone, over 10 lakh homes are now solar-powered. If you are planning to go solar in 2025, this might be the best year to do that. Under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, you can avail subsidy of up to 78000* given you are installing residential rooftop solar solutions.
The PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana will help you save electricity and up to 300 units of free electricity per month through solar panels. As of April 2025, more than 95 lakh households have already registered under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. If you are yet to register for PM solar rooftop yojana, then this article is for you.
Launched by PM Shri Narendra Modi, solar rooftop yojana is rapidly transforming India's energy landscape. So far, 47.3 lakh applications have been received and βΉ4,770 crore in subsidies has been disbursed to 6.13 lakh beneficiaries.
The schemeβs easy financing options, including collateral-free loans up to βΉ2 lakh at a 6.75% subsidized interest rate through 12 Public Sector Banks, have further accelerated adoption.

With a seamless 15-day subsidy transfer process and zero electricity bills for many beneficiaries, the scheme is not just powering homes but also empowering people. Every solar installation under the PM solar rooftop yojana offsets carbon emissions equal to planting 100 trees, driving India towards a cleaner, greener, and self-reliant future.
Solar rooftop yojana offers you freedom from electricity expenses; one can also benefit from the existing subsidy of up to INR 78000 on the installation of residential solar rooftops.
With this lucrative Pradhan Mantri solar rooftop yojana, houses installing the panels would get an assured 300 units worth free of charge every single month. This is a huge discount considering the monthly usage case of many small houses is around the same margin. Households can save around INR 15,000 to 18,000 annually, depending on their energy consumption and constraints.
Net metering allows you to sell the excess generated electricity back to the main power grid and earn monetary benefits.
How does it work?
- When solar panels produce more electricity than needed, the surplus is exported to the grid.
- Consumers receive credits for the excess energy, which can be used to offset future electricity consumption.
- If energy consumption exceeds production, the consumer draws power from the grid, paying only for the net usage.
Solar rooftop yojana offers yet another benefit to the consumers where one can avail of collateral-free and zero-interest loans; if you are opting to install rooftop solutions for residential use this would be the right time to avail of the benefits offered. With Truzon Solar you can avail of zero-interest loans with 100% funding options.
